Practicing the Story of God in Everyday Family Rhythms
Whether you're changing diapers right now, watching your kids leave the nest, or dreaming about the family you hope to build someday, there's a seat at this table for you.
You're in it right now with young kids. You need wisdom, encouragement, and a few guys who get it.
You've been through it. Your hard-earned lessons and perspective are exactly what the younger guys need.
You're not there yet, but you want to be ready. Come build relationships with mentors and a framework for what's ahead.
Each session runs from 5:30 to 6:45 AM at The Church at Lockeland Springs (1601 Holly St). No homework. No prep. Just show up, grab coffee, and be present.
Grab a cup, meet the guys, ease into the morning together.
15 minutes of video content from the Habits of the Household series. We watch it together.
Break into groups of 4 to 6 to discuss last week's topic and the content you just watched. This is where the real stuff happens.
Go be a great dad today.
Each session explores a different rhythm of the household, grounded in Scripture and designed for honest conversation.
Building a foundation for intentional family rhythms, from the moment you wake up to the way you end the day.
How meals become more than food, and simple ways to bring Scripture and prayer into your family's rhythm.
Navigating screens in the modern age and understanding how play, boredom, and limits shape your kids.
Reframing discipline from punishment to formation, and learning to correct with love and conversation.
Reflecting on marriage, work, and the kind of household you want to build for the long haul.
The only thing you need to buy is the Habits of the Household Bible Study Guide. It's about $13 on Amazon and includes the discussion questions and journaling prompts we'll use each week.
The book itself, Habits of the Household by Justin Whitmel Earley, is available for free in ebook and audiobook form through the Libby app (with a library card). If you'd prefer a physical copy, it's about $10 on Amazon.
Nope. Just grab the study guide so you have it. There are some optional morning journaling prompts if you want to go above and beyond, but no required reading or homework. Just show up.
We strongly encourage you to come every week. Your small group will be consistent throughout, so each week builds trust and deeper conversation. Missing one is fine. If you're going to miss two or more, we'd ask you to catch the next round so you can get the full experience.
Just the study guide, which is about $13 on Amazon. The book itself is available for free on the Libby app with a library card. No additional costs beyond that.
You're welcome here. This group is inclusive of everyone. That said, we'll be looking at what the Bible has to say about parenting, so there will be plenty of references to Scripture, Jesus, and the gospel. We believe the content is broadly applicable, but if that framing makes you uncomfortable, this might not be the best fit.
We're hoping for about 50 guys total, split into small groups of 4 to 6. You'll get the energy of a bigger gathering during coffee and video time, and the intimacy of a smaller group for the real conversation.
Absolutely. We'd love for you to bring as many guys as possible. The more men who experience this, the better. Share this page with them and have them sign up.
No. Everything will be contained to the teaching for the week. The study guide has some optional practices and journaling prompts you can do on your own, but if you don't complete them you won't feel left out or behind.
These aren't rules. They're commitments we make to each other so that this space stays safe, honest, and life-giving.
